PDFos — Privacy Policy
PDFos (com.saver.pdfos) is a PDF reader and editor: it opens,
annotates, signs, merges, splits, compresses and password-protects PDF files. This policy
explains what the app accesses and what it does not.
Information we collect
None. PDFos does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no servers of ours. All PDF processing happens locally on your device.
That is a statement about the app. This page is part of the yh-mobile.com website, which does use Google Analytics; that is covered separately by the website privacy policy. Nothing measured on the website comes from the app.
Your documents
PDFos only opens the files you explicitly pick with Android's system file picker, share to the app, or open from a file manager. It does not request broad storage permissions and does not use "All files access", so it cannot scan or read anything you did not hand it. Edited copies are saved only where you choose to save them. Your documents are never uploaded anywhere.
Passwords
When you password-protect a PDF, the password is used on-device to encrypt that file and is not stored by the app. When you unlock a protected PDF, the password is used once to decrypt it and is then discarded.
Signatures
Signatures you draw and save for reuse are stored as images in the app's private storage on your phone. They never leave your device, and uninstalling PDFos removes them.
Document scanning
The "Scan" feature uses Google Play services' on-device document scanner. Scanning happens on your device; the pages you capture become a local PDF handed straight back to the app.
Network access
PDFos itself sends nothing over the network. The INTERNET permission appears in the
app only because bundled Google Play services components (the document scanner and Google Play's
in-app review prompt) declare it. Your documents, passwords and signatures are never transmitted.
Data stored on your device
Your theme choice, the recent-files list and saved signatures live in the app's private storage. Uninstalling PDFos removes them. Nothing is backed up to us, because there is no server to back it up to.
Children
PDFos is a general purpose utility and is not directed at children. It collects no data from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new date at the top.
